In the Olympic Games, wrestling was introduced in 708 B.C. and as a pentathlon as well. There were two types of wrestling. In the first case, the wrestler had to knock down his opponent three times. In the second case after his fall one of the two athletes would have to admit defeat. The athletes compete in a sandpit, naked, with their whole body anointed with oil.
