On side A of this amazing ceramic Jug there is Arion. The myth of Arion according to "the father of history" Herodotus Arion worked in the court of the king of Corinth Periander. Famous for his music throughout the Mediterranean he made trips. On his return to Corinth after a trip to Italy, the crew turned against him with the intention of robbing him. As a last wish he asked to play his lyre for the last time. As a last wish he asked to play his lyre for the last time. As he completed his mournful purpose he fell into the sea, but his life was saved by a flock of dolphins that had been enchanted by his music and carried hin ashore.
